Aare (Sweden) – American skier Mikaela Shiffrin triumphantly won the first round of the slalom in the Aare and is on the verge of breaking Ingemar Stenmark's record. In Friday's giant slalom, he equaled his 86 victories in the World Cup, and today he can become independent at the head of the historical table. Going into the second round, she has a big lead of 69 hundredths of a second over her nearest rival. Czech slalom skier Martina Dubovská is 18th so far.
