In her main discipline, the Czech representative Martina Dubovská wants to fight to improve her personal best from major events, which is thirteenth place in the slalom at last year's Olympic Games in Beijing. In the absence of Ester Ledecka, the 30-year-old skier is the biggest Czech hope at the championship in France.
The Olympic winner from Beijing, Petra Vlhová from Slovakia, and the Swiss Wendy Holdenerová, the second woman in the interim evaluation of the World Cup slalom and silver from opening combination. The German Lena Dürrová, who won the last SP slalom before the championship in Špindlerův Mlýn and thwarted Shiffrin's attack on a record 86th victory in the SP, is also among the favorites.
