Tension was experienced this morning in the Chamber, after deputy Carmen Hertz (PC) was interrupted during a speech and ordered the UDI deputies to shut up. “Shut up, pack,” the pro-government parliamentarian yelled at her right-wing colleagues.
The deputy of the Communist Party, Carmen Hertz, tried to “pack” to the deputies of the UDI bench, after being interrupted while speaking during a session of the Lower House.
It was after the speech of the new president of the corporation, Vlado Mirosevic (PL ), that the PC parliamentarian asked for the floor to refer to the regulation and reject the accusations of being a “denier” that she received from the deputy Cristián Labbé (UDI).
“I am obliged to make use of the right enshrined in article 33 of our regulations, due to the insulting and harmful statements to my honor, snapped by Deputy Cristián Labbé, accusing me of denial”, he stated Hertz.
He also indicated that “what offends not only me, but all the victims of the extermination, the human rights organizations that have bravely fought for memory and never again”.
“Well, it is about trivializing heinous crimes because deputy Labbé, lacking a minimum of modesty for belonging (…)”, specified the deputy, being interrupted at that moment in the Chamber.
Then the congresswoman asked the president of the Chamber to call to order.
“Deputies and deputies please listen to deputy Hertz”, requested Mirosevic.
“Shut up you pack”
Hertz then continued with her speech, however, she was again interrupted when she began to talk about the origin of the UDI.
“Deputy Labbé, who belongs to a political party that was born as a defender of the crimes of the Pinochet dictatorship (…)”, said the communist deputy.
It was here when the parliamentarian yelled “please shut up”, banging on the table. “Could you call this pack in front of me to order”, Hertz asked Mirosevic.
“They don't even know how this works”, you can also hear them say Hertz's colleague, Tomás Hirsch.
The president of the Chamber stressed that “the deputy is making use of a statutory right that we all have”.
“Shut up, pack” , sentenced the PC deputy, and then continued with her speech.
Hertz finally said that he is accused of promoting the culture of denial and of making personal attacks on the former director of the INDH, Mr. (Sergio) Micco. The worrying thing is that this is inserted into an abject manual planning, through which the heirs of those who led to the extermination seek for now the civil death of the Communist Party (…), which reminds us of McCarthyism and the Nazi dictatorship&# 8221;.
According to La Radio, deputy Hertz could be sent to the Ethics Commission.

“It's a very profound insult”
Compared to this, the deputy Johannes Kaiser (IND), said that “we are used to sudden outbursts from colleague Hertz. They are typical of his character and the truth is that it is not the For the first time, she knows what the limits of sanity are, but she insists on violating it”.
“She also treated them as Nazis, and to treat someone as a Nazi is to treat someone as being a member of a genocidal political organization (…). It is a very deep insult, it is telling you that you are racist, you are undemocratic, you do not like the Republic”, indicated the parliamentarian.
When asked if there will be sanctions, Kaiser said he does not know “How many times has Deputy Hertz been to the Ethics Commission, she is a frequent customer of the premises. I am sorry that you poison coexistence in Congress with these types of statements”.
