Bakuriani (Georgia) – Cross-country skiers, including Nikol Kučerova, have to wait a day longer to compete at the World Championships in Georgia until Sunday due to strong winds. The jury and representatives of the ski federation set a new start at 7:30 CET. On Sunday, according to the original plan, the premier team race should also take place from 11:30 a.m.

The start of the qualifying races today in Bakuriani was delayed by three hours until noon due to bad weather, but the wind did not stop. Kučerová clocked the 15th time in Friday's qualifying and will compete in the last quarter-final heat with, among others, the Swedish sovereign Sandra Näslundová. The defending champion already has a certain crystal globe in the World Cup and has not lost a record 17 races in a row.
The other Czech ski crossers Diana Cholenská and Daniel Paulus did not make it to the elimination rounds.
