Courchevel (France) – At the World Downhill Skiing Championships, the men will fight for the medals in the giant slalom and the race in Courchevel will have the clear favorite Marc Odermatt. The Swiss has won four of the five races he has entered in this year's World Cup and is also the reigning Olympic champion.

Overall SP leader Odermatt already won downhill gold in France, more than making up for the disappointment of fourth place in the super giant slalom. One of his biggest challengers should be the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, the world champion from 2019. Two years ago in Cortina, the Frenchman Mathieu Faivre won, who was seventeenth best this year.
