Bakuriani (Georgia) – Snowboardcrosser Eva Adamczyková smoothly advanced to the quarterfinals at the World Championships in Bakuriani. The Olympic champion from Sochi, who broke both her legs above the ankles a year and a quarter ago, won her first race with ease. Conversely, Vendula Hopjáková was eliminated in the round of 16. From the quartet of Czech men, Jakub Žerava and Kryštof Choura continue, the more experienced Radek Houser and Jan Kubičík failed.
Snowboard crossers were originally supposed to race on Friday and qualify a day earlier, but due to the unfavorable weather forecast, the organizers moved the entire race to today. Adamczyková entered the second round of 16 race and reached the finish line in first place without any problems. At the World Championships, she is aiming for a third medal after the bronze and gold from 2019.
