So Mr Dazn took the kick. The Silent Rise of Len Blavatnik

<!– –>

Leonid “Len” Blavatnik is the new master of football. His project is to make Dazn the Netflix of football. Now the battle to revolutionize football on TV – reads a long and in-depth article in the newspaper The print – goes through Serie A and the alliance with Tim. Sky auctioned for three-year rights with an investment of one and a half billion euros for Dazn through Perform and one billion euros for the former monopolist, unpublished formats, the game on the mobile phone, only with the internet connection and exclusively: nothing will be the same again, for 33 million Italian fans the future is designed by Len. In silence and without being too seen around: a couple of interviews throughout his life, very rare appearances at the inaugurations of museums financed with tens of millions of dollars a year, just a blitz one night at San Siro for a derby in Milan seen in the stands, naturally without anyone recognizing him except his friend Paolo Scaroni, a former competitor in the world of energy and now president of Milan. In Blavatnik, the Dazn operation is costing a lot (one and a half billion lost in 2019 worldwide) and making nothing, to date. It had already happened to him at the beginning of many of his financial and industrial projects: from the start of obstacles in the former USSR to the skepticism of analysts when he took over Warner Bros, to the stakes in Zalando and Spotify. In the long run, however, Blavatnik, the richest man in the UK and 45th in the world with a fortune of $ 25 billion, has always won. The game that changes his life is played at the time of the privatization war, at the sunset of the Soviet Union. A financial, political and image success: he makes his fortune and breaks free from those cumbersome links with Russian politics that the other oligarchs will carry on their shoulders. There is no suspicion for the philanthropist who funds museums, hospitals and universities. An operation so successful that in 2017 Blavatnik was made a Knight of Queen Elizabeth. The insertion in the establishment is full, the suspicions concern others.
