Following the avalanche of criticism, the “first of many patches” for the hybrid console has been announced.
Probably, those most nostalgic about the blue hedgehog were excited by the announcement of Sonic Colors: Ultimate, a remastering of Sonic’s adventure on Wii. But, if you have recently surfed the networks, probably you have seen dozens of videos that showed a huge amount of bugs within the newly released game, some of which not only impeded the player’s progress, but also they literally altered the entire screen. To fix this mess, Blind Squirrel has gone to work very quickly, which has already resulted in a first patch for Nintendo Switch.
The first of many patches (for all platforms!)Sonic Twitter accountThis has been communicated the official Sonic the Hedgehog account on Twitter, with a brief message informing of the arrival of an unexpected patch to the hybrid console. Which, presumably, will serve to fix some of the errors that have appeared in the games of the players. However, the most remarkable thing is that it is indicated that this will be “the first of many patches (for all platforms!) That will be arriving in the near future”. So, following this line, it is very likely that this first update do not correct all the bugs found in Sonic Colors: Ultimate.
On the other hand, it is also particularly striking that this action was carried out after slightly blaming pirate games and emulators for the bugs. Something that at the time partially hiding under the rug all the problems that needed to be solved in the game. Despite this, the developer has gone to work and has already given the first fruit of its effort, which is far from over.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate has been a big surprise in every way. Of course, it is an installment that will fascinate those players who wish to return to the time of Sonic on Wii, but, until further notice, it could spoil the experience of more than one person.
