Match of the 4th round of the extension of the first football league, title group: 1. FC Slovácko – Sparta Prague, May 23, 2023, Uherské Hradiště. Sparta players celebrate winning the league title on the pitch.
Prague – Sparta's football players became league champions after nine years. In the penultimate fourth round of the extension in the group for the title, they drew in Uherské Hradiště with Slovácko without goals and they cannot lose the first place in the table. Before the final match of the season, coach Brian Priske's men have a three-point lead over second-placed Slavia at the top of the competition, and even in the event of a tie, they would be ranked higher due to the victory after the regular season.

< p>Even a 3:2 win after a turnaround in Olomouc did not keep Slavia in the title game. Vršovičtí will finish second in the second league season in a row. Pilsen lost to Bohemians 1905 0:2. “Kangaroos” are close to maintaining fourth place, which means participation in the 2nd preliminary round of the European Conference League.
As the most successful Czech team, Sparta is celebrating its 37th overall title and 13th since the division of the federation, but the first since 2014. Thanks to the league championship, Letenská are the only ones to qualify for the Champions League next season and have a good chance of entering it only in the 3rd preliminary round . The Spartans dominated the top competition in the very first season under the Danish coach Prisk. They will receive the winning trophy only at the weekend after the final round at home with Pilsen.
Slovácko drew with Sparta just like in the previous mutual duel a month ago, when the teams drew 1:1. The team from Uherské Hradiště also played a draw in the fourth round of the superstructure and lost fourth place, losing two points. The Spartans extended their unbeaten streak in the league to 21 games.
Sigma led 2-0 against Slavia after six minutes after goals from Juraj Chvátal and Pavel Zifčák. The visitors' turnaround was started by Václav Jurečka with two goals in the 21st and 35th minutes, who scored the seventh and eighth goals in the last four matches in the top competition. Substitute Ondřej Lingr netted the winning goal in the 67th minute.
Olomouc will finish sixth after their fourth league loss at home in a row. Slavia won only the second of the last eight duels away from home in the league, and this year they scored only 26 out of a total of 75 points on their opponents' pitches.
In the first half, Martin Hála and Lukáš Hůlka already decided the victory for the Bohemians in Pilsen. The “kangaroos” won for the first time in the extension part and followed up on the March 2:1 triumph at the Victoria Stadium. She will finish third as the unsuccessful defending champion.
In fourth place, Bohemians are two points ahead of Slovácko before Saturday's last match of the season. A point is enough for Prague to secure the cups at home against Olomouc.
