Stadia would soon the players use smartphones that are not certified. A warning would indicate, however, that : “The use of this feature can affect the performance of the game, and can be disabled at any time. ”
In 2019, Google has made its entry on the market of video games by launching Stadia, its platform for cloud gaming. But at launch, it was not possible to play via this platform than on the Android smartphones from the brand Pixel, of the firm of Mountain View. And it is only since the month of February that it was finally allowed to play on the models of other brands, like the Samsung Galaxy S20 or the ASUS ROG Phone II. And little by little, Google is expected to add more models to the list of devices that are officially compatible with Stadia.
In addition, Google may soon allow users of Stadia to play on smartphones that are not certified. It is in any case what is suggested by an article published a few days ago by the site 9to5Google. This information was inferred by the media, as a result of decompilation and code analysis of the file .apk of Stadia for Android.
In essence, 9to5Google think Google will soon update this app to allow players to play, even on smartphones that are not (yet) officially compatible with Stadia. The firm of Mountain View would nevertheless display a message warning that the experience might be less good : ” The gameplay mobile on this device is in course of development. The use of this feature can affect the performance of the game, and can be disabled at any time. “
But despite this, we do not expect that it is possible to play on all Android smartphones. However, some of the smartphones which could later be certified (and that meet certain technical criteria) should thus allow to play on the platform Stadia.

Touch control, voice chat and game demos
The exploration of the file .apk Stadia unveiled other features that Google appears to be working. And among these, there are touch control. In essence, if a game launches so that no controller is detected, the application Stadia could offer the player to use virtual buttons on the touch screen. The touch control could also be offered on games where it is more appropriate than the use of a controller.
The application Stadia for Android could soon support voice chat where players can communicate while they play, and Google may soon allow publishers to offer demos, free trials and weekends free for their games.
But in the meantime that all these new features are officially announced by Google, the caution is.
