Los Angeles (USA) – The Warner Bros film studio is preparing new feature films based on the Lord of the Rings motifs by the British writer J.R.R. Tolkien. Fans of the classic work of fantasy literature are waiting for a cinematic return to Middle-earth after almost ten years, when the last film from the Hobbit trilogy shone on the screen.

The Warner Bros company has announced that it has concluded a multi-year agreement for cooperation on new films with the Swedish company Embracer Group, wrote the BBC server. The Swedish company bought the adaptation rights to Tolkien's works last year.

The Lord of the Rings film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson won critical and audience acclaim at the beginning of the millennium. The third film, The Return of the King, won 11 Oscars, including Best Picture.
