Zurich – Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima has become the first global fan ambassador of the International Football Federation (FIFA). He will present himself in his new role for the first time tonight in Paris during the announcement of the best footballer of last year in The Best poll, where he will present the fans' award. FIFA announced the collaboration with the 41-year-old star on its website.

“He lives football, so he can be a great link between FIFA and fans around the world,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “When you meet Adriana, you immediately feel her warmth, her kindness and how passionate she is about football,” said the head of world football.
“I come from a humble background and am a huge football fan. It is for I am very honored that FIFA has chosen me as the first global ambassador for fans, who will thus be able to get even closer to football,” said the famous model.
