Monterrey (Mexico) – Czech tennis player Kateřina Siniaková finished in the first round at the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico. The sixth seed lost to Kamille Rachimova from Russia 6:7, 6:2 and 6:7.

In the first set, Siniaková erased a 1:4 loss, but lost 6:8 in the tie-break. The second set was a clear affair for the 26-year-old Czech, who in the third set at 5:4 on Rachimova's serve worked out a match point, but did not convert it.
A shortened set had to be decided, which the world number one in doubles lost 5:7. In Monterrey, Siniaková did not follow up on her performance from the previous tournament in Mérida, where she reached the semifinals last week.
