Citing Russian sources, the Reuters agency wrote this today, according to which it is not yet clear what the new doctrine should specifically contain.

Belarus is Russia's closest ally, which has been waging war against Ukraine for more than a year. Although the Eastern European country did not send its soldiers to fight, it gave Russia its territory to attack Ukraine. In the initial phase of the invasion, Russian troops led an offensive on Kiev from there.

The document, which is reported by Russian agencies, orders “in connection with the escalation of global geopolitical tensions” the adoption of measures “aimed at protecting independence, territorial integrity, sovereignty and constitutional order against external and internal threats”.

The Belarusian Security Council also ordered the Ministry of Defense to finalize a draft law on the creation of a new volunteer territorial defense within a month. It should number 100,000 to 150,000 volunteers.
