Teplice – The Czech Women's Volleyball Cup will culminate in Teplice on Thursday. Last year's triumph will be defended by the players of Králova Pole Brno. The two-day Final Four, on the other hand, will be missing the currently best two teams of the extra league table, Liberec and Prostějov, who were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

The composition of the final four is similar to last season. In addition to Brňanek, it also includes Olomuc and Olymp Prague. Only Dukla Liberec, which lost to KP Brno in the final a year ago, was replaced by Ostrava.
The latter eliminated the champion Prostějov in the quarterfinals, which they defeated 3:2 in sets. The league leader from Liberec was not enough in the fight for the Final Four at Olymp in Prague. Královo Pole had the easiest path to the semi-finals, which as the reigning winner began its spider journey only in the quarter-finals. There, they defeated Šelmy in the Brno derby without losing a set.
Last year's runners-up from Brno will face Olomouc in Wednesday's semi-final. This is a duel between the third and fifth teams of this year's top league competition, so an even match can be expected. At the end of the last calendar year, Brňanky won at home over Olomouc 3:0.
The opening semi-final between Ostrava and Olymp, who are also closely behind on seventh and eighth place in the extra league table, could look similar. The last mutual match in January was won by Ostrava at home 3:1.
The matches for the final position are scheduled for Thursday. The bronze will be played from 15:00, the final will start three hours later.
