Prague – Prague councilors will meet today for their second regular meeting since their election in mid-February. However, according to the published agenda, they will mostly deal with documents on which they do not discuss, but only vote. At the same time, according to ČTK information, the council could change into a general meeting of the transport company (DPP) and discuss its new composition. Councilors can additionally include documents at the meeting when approving the program. The new council was established after almost five months of post-election negotiations, a coalition of Together (ODS, TOP 09 and KDU-ČSL), Pirátů and STAN was formed.

Deputy Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) said after the council meeting last week that today he would like the council to discuss the new composition of the company's supervisory board in the position of the DPP general meeting. All parties in the council should be represented in it, and the chairman should be the councilor for transport, i.e. Hřib. He wanted to discuss the composition of the supervisory board last week, but not all parties provided a list of their nominees.
In the top five materials that the councilors can discuss, for example, the reconstruction of the former dormitory on Bulovka is included. The majority of the program consists of documents included in the so-called operative discussion, which the councilors do not debate, but only vote on.
In the eleven-member city council, there are five representatives of the Together coalition, while ODS has three and TOP 09 two members, the Pirates they have four and STAN two councillors. Instead of positions in the council, the KDU-ČSL occupied two positions of chairmen of representative committees of the capital. The coalition Together, Pirátů and STAN has a majority of 36 votes in the 65-member council. In opposition are ANO, Praha Sobě and SPD. Spolu won the elections in Prague ahead of ANO and Pirates.
