Brno – Today, the Regional Court in Brno will issue a verdict in a long-standing dispute about the clearing of sales stands in the underpass under the main railway station. The city is opposed by the defendant company Pliska Interactive Services Consulting, which claims that the five booths located roughly under the tram tracks do not belong to the city, and therefore has no right to order their removal. The decision is important for the city so that it can reconstruct the entire subway.

Brno is convinced that the underpass is its property and has the right to have the stalls cleared. While the part of the underpass under the train tracks has already been cleared since the beginning of last year, the part under the tram stops leading to Josefská Street has not. Pliska operates five stalls here and there are other stalls operated by two other entities.
The stall owners are convinced that the stalls and the place they stand on do not belong to the city. That's why he hasn't paid his rent for several years, and the city is enforcing it in court. The court proceedings with the other two entities are suspended and the outcome of the dispute with Pliska is awaited. The court of first instance has already ruled on this twice, the second time agreeing with the city's argument. The city planned to start reconstructing the first part of the underpass under the tram tracks as early as last fall, but the project is currently being changed and the city anticipates that construction will not begin until next year. If the city succeeds in the dispute with Pliska and subsequently two other entities, it can start preparations for the reconstruction of the second part of the underpass under the tram stops.
