Prague – The Czech Republic is expecting a temperature inversion this week with fog and low clouds in the lowlands, the sky will be clear in the mountains. Nighttime temperatures will drop to zero. Meteorologists expect the highest daily temperatures to be between two and six degrees Celsius, rising to ten degrees in the sun. From the middle of the week, the sky will be cloudy, it will rain, and it will snow in the mountains, and by the end of the week it will warm up to 12 degrees. This follows from the weekly forecast on the website of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) and information on Twitter. According to the current long-term outlook, the next four weeks should be average in temperature and precipitation as a whole.

Today was foggy and cloudy at first, but in the afternoon the sky partly cleared. The highest temperatures rose to six to ten degrees Celsius, in the mountains they hovered around one degree. Cloudy weather with fog and occasional drizzle will also appear on Tuesday. But in the afternoon it will be clear to partly cloudy. At night, temperatures may drop slightly below freezing in some places, during the day meteorologists predict temperatures between two and six degrees Celsius, rising to ten degrees in the case of long-lasting low cloud cover. Similar temperatures and a similar type of weather with fog, which will gradually turn into a partly clear sky, will also persist in the middle of the week. It will be partly cloudy to clear in the mountains, night temperatures will hover around the freezing point, when it clears up they will drop to minus five degrees.
“The weather will change more in the second half of the week, when individual frontal systems from the west to the northwest. Overall, clouds will increase and it will occasionally rain in most areas, and it will snow in the mountains,” meteorologists reported. It warms up mainly at night. Temperatures will range between plus two and six degrees during the night on Friday, rising to ten degrees during the day. Cloudy weather with rain will continue from Saturday, on Sunday the thermometer may show up to 12 degrees Celsius. It should gradually start snowing on the mountains.
In the next four weeks, i.e. from today until March 12, meteorologists expect temperatures and precipitation corresponding to average values, while it will be slightly warmer than usual at this time this week. “We expect weekly averages of the highest daily temperatures to be around plus six degrees Celsius in all four forecast weeks,” meteorologists said in their monthly weather forecast.
