Olympic kayak champion Prskavec in his additional discipline was left without a final for the first time this season. In Augsburg, he surprised with third place and last week in Prague-Troj he was ninth. Although he completed the semi-finals without touching the goal, he was 7.21 seconds slower than the fastest home player, Benjamin Savšek. The Czech star was one second short of the tenth position. Another Czech representative, Vojtěch Heger, was fifteenth, Martin Kratochvíl twenty-sixth.

Out of the trio of women, Martina Satková finished highest in 13th place, whose sister Gabriela was third in Prague. Eighteenth was Eva Říhová, twenty-second Jana Matulková.

On Saturday, the kayakers will compete for medals, Prskavec and Vít Přindiš will try to imitate the success from Troja, where they took the first two places.
