Ukraine and IMF preliminarily agreed on the agreement on $5 billion.
The European Commission has provided Ukraine with the last two tranches of macro-financial assistance in the framework of MFA IV. It amounted to 500 million euros., the Chronicle reports.info with reference to Country.
“The Commission on behalf of the EU approved the allocation of EUR 500 million loan to Ukraine as part of the fourth program of macro-financial assistance”, — said the representative of the European Commission Marta Wieczorek.
With this payment, the EU has provided Ukraine with 3.8 billion euros in the form of loans macro-financial assistance (MFA) in 2014. This is the largest amount of MFP that the European Union has allocated to any one partner country.
We will note, Ukraine and Evrosouz signed a loan agreement to provide a 4-second program macro-financial assistance(MFA IV) to 1 billion euros in September 2018. The amount was divided into two equal tranches, the first of them, in the amount of EUR 500 million and an interest rate of 1.25% per annum maturing in April 2033, the EU transferred in December 2018. Obtaining a second predicted for spring 2019, but at that period Ukraine has not fulfilled a series of obligations.
In General, among the conditions was the adoption of the plan for the reform of customs and tax services, as well as the introduction of automatic validation of e-returns.
Also the horizontal condition for the allocation of the last tranche, as well as with respect to all other programs of macro-financial assistance has been the continued cooperation of our country with the International monetary Fund.
