Valencia – As bestas directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen won the Goya Spanish Film Awards. The suspenseful story about the hardships of a French married couple who move to the Spanish countryside won a total of nine statuettes. It won in the categories of best film, direction, cinematography, editing or original screenplay, among others. Five statuettes were awarded to the film Modelo 77, a 1970s prison drama.
