Oderzo (Italy) – Cyclists in the Giro d'Italia will today complete the first of three demanding stages in the Dolomites that will decide the winner of the 106th edition of this famous race. Riders can expect five climbing bonuses, including the finish, during the 161 kilometers from Oderzo to Val di Zoldo.

On the day of his 37th birthday, Briton Geraint Thomas will be the leader in the pink jersey, who is 18 seconds ahead of Portugal's Joao Almeida and 29 seconds ahead of Slovenia's Primož Roglič. The 95th place belongs to Czech debutant Karl Vacka.
