Rome – AS Rome football players lost 1:2 to Fiorentina in the penultimate round of the 37th round of the Italian league and lost the chance to qualify from Serie A to the Champions League. The home team decided the win with a turnaround at the end of the match, when they scored twice in three minutes.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, are assured of a start in the Champions League thanks to a 3:2 win over Bergamo. The Nerazzurri, who will face Manchester City in the final of the millionaire competition in two weeks, secured their place in the top four of Serie A with the victory.
Inter decided on three points thanks to a great start to the match. Lukaku opened the scoring after 38 seconds and two minutes later Barella added. Although Pasalič scored in the first half, Martínez scored the home team's third goal in the 77th minute. Onana's own goal in the setup was just a cosmetic change.
AS Rome entered the battle of the Italian finalists of the European Cups better, leading from the 11th minute after El Shaarawy's strike. In the end, however, the guests did not keep the lead and stretched their wait for victory in the top competition to seven rounds.
Fiorentina, who will face West Ham in the Conference League final in Prague on June 7, equalized in the 85th minute thanks to Jovic and the score then turned the Icon. AS Rome thus has a round before the end in the standings, securing the Champions League with an indelible loss of four points.
Fiorentina is ninth and will not be able to reach the cups from Serie A again. However, if they win the final of the Conference League, they will appear in the basic group of the new year of the Europa League. AS Roma still has a chance for the Champions League if they win the Europa League final, in which they will face Sevilla on May 31.
