Last week, Prigozhin announced the opening of 58 recruitment centers in 42 Russian cities. According to Reuters, most of these centers are located in gyms and martial arts clubs.
The founder of the Wagner group previously admitted that many fighters of his organization lost their lives in the Bakhmut area. White House security spokesman John Kirby accused Prigozhin of using recruited convicts as “feed for the meat grinder”. In January, the USA estimated the number of Wagnerites fighting in Ukraine at 50,000. According to Washington, about 40,000 of them were convicts.
