Unitex, a professional organisation of the textile sector in Auvergne, Rhône-Alpes, the first textile region of France, is sounding the alarm : the masks manufactured in France were no longer selling.
Massive imports
Recalling that for this region only 45 companies are being converted to manufacture in the emergency nearly 5 million face masks per week, investing sometimes in hardware, Unitex speaks of the ” cold shower “. Stocks now stand at nearly two million unsold and fabric for another 14 million masks. The official report :
