New drone footage shows the war-torn Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.
Moscow – Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Russian mercenary Wagner group, released a video today that allegedly shows his fighters almost in the center of Bakhmut. The mercenaries, together with the units of the Russian army, have been trying to capture the Ukrainian city for several months. This was reported by the Reuters agency.

Wagner's group spearheads the Russian attack on Bachmut. In recent months, Russian troops have advanced mainly on the northern and southern outskirts of the city, threatening Ukrainian supply routes.
“The boys are up to mischief, filming a home video. This morning they brought it from Bakhmut, practically from the center of the city,” he reports. with a comment under the video published by Prigozhin's press service. It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the picture or the place where it was taken.
The video shows one of the uniformed men hoisting the flag of Wagner's group on top of a half-demolished multi-story building. Others play musical instruments, a reference to the Wagnerites' informal nickname “musicians”.
Ukrainian forces held their positions in Bakhmut early this morning, but were under constant attack by Russian troops, Reuters reported. . Capturing the city, with a pre-war population of 70,000, would be Russia's first major victory in more than half a year and open the way for an assault on the last remaining urban centers in the Donetsk region.
