Opposition MPs prepared over 370 amendments to the pension amendment, the overwhelming majority of which demanded a higher increase in pensions than the government is promoting. Some of the deputies did not implement their proposals, even so, according to the reporter for Viktor Vojtek's proposal (STAN), over 300 amendments remained to be voted on. the amendments will reduce the length of one vote from 20 seconds to 15.
The meeting of the House of Representatives started on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., i.e. 94 hours ago. The actual meeting of the lower chamber lasted 69 hours without breaks.
The government amendment assumes that the average monthly pension will increase by 760 crowns from June instead of the expected 1770 crowns, as it would be according to the currently valid legal rules. According to the explanatory report, the state will save 19.4 billion crowns this year and 33 billion crowns next year. Otherwise, according to the government, the ratio of pensions to the average wage would increase, which would put a disproportionate burden on the state treasury. The opposition rejects the government proposal, as well as its accelerated approval. In case the draft is enforced, he wants to turn to the Constitutional Court. According to her, due to the rate of inflation, pensioners are entitled to a full valuation.
