Ignacio Piatti has moved the ropes in the first half, but the Montreal Impact settled for a 1-1 against FC Cincinnati, Wednesday, in the first tough game of the two teams of the MLS.

Piatti opened the scoring in the 11th minute. The Argentine is then spent close to double the advance of his own in the 44th minute, but his strike was given against the pole.

Darren Mattocks tied it in the 49th minute for the CF Cincinnati, who will be playing their first season in MLS.

“It was a good and super training in the continuity of the work that we do here in Florida, said the head coach of the Impact, Rémi Garde. I remember the good involvement of the players on the things that we wanted to work in the aspects of offensive and defensive. It is a good basis to continue the work. We have not always been successful, but I felt the willingness of the players to make moves that we had worked on. “

During this meeting, the Impact has used two different formations, allowing the majority of players present at the training camp to touch the ball for 45 minutes.

Piatti has also obtained a scoring opportunity in the eighth minute of the game, but goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton had passed the judgment. For his part, Anthony Jackson-Hamel has reached the post in the 72nd minute of the game.

On the side of the CF Cincinnati, the formation of the Ohio was seen as a goal to be cancelled in the first half due to an offside.

“When we had possession of the ball and we were moving well from one side to the other, we were threatening, said the midfielder of the Impact Shamit Shome. We could have done better things, but I think that tactically, we followed what the coach wanted offensively and defensively. It is a step in the right direction for the group. “

The Impact will play a next match preparatory on 6 February, in the face of the Nashville SC, a training of the USL.
