In the past two years, Muchová was eliminated on the Paris clay in the 3rd round and will face an unpopular opponent for the first round of 16 there. She has lost both of her previous matches with Begu, four years ago at Roland Garros and this year at the end of April in Madrid. “She's very uncomfortable on clay, she plays great on it. I think that's her favorite surface. But I wasn't in the best mood in Madrid,” Muchová said after Wednesday's three-set win over Nadia Podorska from Argentina.
