Prague – The hockey players of the winners of the regular part of Pardubice and runners-up Vítkovice successfully entered the quarterfinals of the Generali Česká pojišťovna playoff of the Tisport extra league. After a turnaround, Dynamo defeated Olomouc 5:1 and Ostrava beat Kometa Brno 3:2. The second game of the four-game winning streak will take place on Saturday at the same venues. The duel will start in Pardubice at 17:00 and in Ostrava two hours later.

After an unrecognized goal by Robert Kousal, Pardubice lost to Olomouc from the 8th minute, when Jan Káňa scored when the suspension was signaled. Dynamo turned the situation around in the first period thanks to the use of Matej Paulovič's power play and a shot by defender Tomáš Dvořák. At the end of the second period, Tomáš Zohorna secured the lead in another numerical advantage, and Tomáš Hyka and Lukáš Sedlák completed the result in the final part. David Cienciala scored three assists.
Vítkovice took the lead against Kometa in the 14th minute thanks to a goal by Latvian Roberts Bukarts, and Jakub Kotala increased the score in 35 seconds. Zdeněk Okál responded in the middle of the match, but at 43:43 the former Brno gunner Peter Mueller restored the two-goal advantage to Ostravans. In the 47th minute, defender Marek Hrbas only corrected the result.
