The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD in a short video showing the autosave

New details keep pouring in for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. In a short clip posted through the official Twitter account of Nintendo, the company showed how the autosave works.

The video shows a scene where Link is running around the city and at one point you can see the word “Rescue …” along with an adjacent icon in the lower right. It appears periodically, thus ensuring players don’t lose progress. The original had a series of manual save points scattered around Hyrule in the form of statues, similar to Yakuza’s phone booths and Resident Evil’s typewriters. The automatic save is therefore a new feature that Nintendo has unveiled with this clip.

In addition to this, Skyward Sword HD will also have improved motion controls, rebalanced tutorials, improvements to the game, a “smoother” experience in its opening section, and more. All of this is, of course, in addition to the visual and performance improvements and the new button control scheme.
