The French emphasize their distrust vis-à-vis the politicians, and the situation isn’t getting any better in these times troubled by the epidemic of sars coronavirus. The government is accused of lies ….
The question of masks, and a lie which puts the chip in the ear
On march 6, Olivier Véran, Minister of Solidarities and Health, was very clear about the masks :
He confirmed the government’s position, relayed on numerous occasions.
Less than two months after, on the 3oth of April last, the same minister of Health explained facing the camera : “there is a recommendation of wearing a mask when you cannot respect the distancing physical and the respect of the gestures barriers. “. We have moved from inefficiency to the need for obscure reasons. Was there a hidden reality to the citizens due to the shortage of masks ? Again, the words of the ministers are contradictory to a few weeks apart.
The déconfinement, made an arrangement with the reality and the truth
Also, when on 3 may, Mr Veran is questioned by the journalists of the Parisien on the decision taken by the president of the Republic to reopen the schools from the 11th of may, he ensures that this ambition is in agreement with the requirements of the Scientific Council :
The council would therefore have been in favour of this back in may on condition that change the rules. However, the opinion of this agency was published on 20 April, and the conclusions do not lend themselves to any interpretation :
A return to the origins of this wave of lies or omissions
Of course, one may ask the question : since when the government does it to keep us in ignorance ? The lies were they volunteers or not ? Can we excuse a political leader to challenge the usefulness of wearing a mask before finally understand, after scientific advice, its error?
Should we then organize the first round of municipal elections ? The government emphasizes that the scientific council there was no objection and suggests that the opposition was in the wind standing against any deferral. And yet, even as the government called on the French to move for a vote on Sunday, march 15, the next day, the president of the Republic announced the containment of the entire population. A lie by omission, an error of analysis, or deception for political purposes ?
These lies, some will speak of approximation, are not, however, arise with this health crisis. The day after his election to the supreme office, Emmanuel Macron had adopted a rule of strict and inviolable; the ministers of the government may not cumulate their functions with a mandate for local executive. Edouard Philippe and Jean-Yves Le Driant had made the bitter experience. Yet, Gérald Darmanin, Minister of Public Accounts, re-elected mayor of Tourcoing, was “allowed to accumulate for a time” the two functions.
