Beroun – The start of the Ladies European Tour (LET) tournament in Beroun did not go well for the local female golfers. None of them were able to meet the standard of the course, and the Czech Ladies Open results list includes the first Czech names up to the tied 28th position with a loss of five shots to the leading Englishwoman Ana Dawson. Defending champion Jana Melichová recorded a worse result by one stroke, and the home number one Klára Davidson Spilková or the winner of the previous German Masters Kristýna Napoleová lost another shot.

O the place at the end of the top ten with a score of +1 is shared among others by Kateřina Vlašínová and amateurs Patricie Macková and Denisa Vodičková. Due to a double bogey on the ninth hole, Melichová follows in 46th place together with Tereza Melecká.
Spilková, as the defender of second place and the fourth woman in this year's Race to Costa ranking, played three consecutive bogeys from the fourth hole, Napoleaová committed double bogey on the sixteenth. Together with them, the best player of last year's second highest European LETAS series Sára Kousková and amateur Miriam Barcalová share the 61st place.
Dawsonová shot 68 shots (-4) and is one stroke ahead of the chasing quartet. Among them is the Spaniard Ana Peláezová, who, as the second woman in the season standings, is the highest-ranked player in the starting field of 132 players.
The Czech Ladies Open is played with a subsidy of 300,000 euros and the participants will be decided in Saturday's second round of Sunday's final.
