The long-awaited paving of the Pablo Neruda route in Castro will begin in December and it is expected to be completed in January. The measure is intended to improve the flow of tourists.
In December basic asphalt works should begin to help mitigate the traffic flow that connects with the northern entrance to the Castro bypass, in Chiloé, Los Lagos region.
The works will be located in the section that goes from Pablo Neruda street and La Chacra corresponding to a measure designed for the entry of tourists in the next summer season.
The mayor of Castro, Juan Vera, highlighted this progress in urban planning.
“Of course The commitment that an asphalt layer will mean from Pablo Neruda through the area of La Chacra will be fulfilled, in order to enable this area that for so many years has requested to have pavement”, he said.
This measure was announced by the authorities of the Ministry of Public Works on November 4 in Santiago together with the ten Chilote mayors.
The works that will be in charge of the Highway Department should be completed during the first half of January.
