Prague – Festival Metronome Prague 2023 will be opened on Wednesday, June 21 by David Koller with his band and the Ukrainian women's symphonic Queens Orchestra from Poland. The organizers of the festival told journalists today. The newly announced performers have been added to the previously announced main stars of the festival, which mainly include Jamiroquai, Zaz, Moderat, Aurora, M83, Editors, Tove Lo, J.I.D or White Lies. The organizers expect up to 25,000 visitors for the sixth year, mainly the most expensive tickets are sold out, and the main program will be complemented by expanded non-musical activities.

From June 21 to 24, Metronome Prague will occupy 100,000 square meters in the Výstaviště Prague area, where seven stages will be prepared, on which 300 performers will take turns during 80 performances. The organizers have increased the number of seats, in addition to the already sold-out VIP zone, so-called Comfort tickets are now being sold. The entrance to the complex will be from Bruselská cesta, where there will be more than 26 gates for public entry and separate entrances for the disabled.

VIP tickets for three days cost 7,990 crowns for seating and 6,990 for standing. The Three Days Comfort ticket costs 5,390 crowns. The fifth edition of three-day tickets was supposed to end today, which could be purchased for 3,590 crowns, and in the next wave they were to cost 3,990 crowns. Gaydečka said today that the higher price will apply from the beginning of the festival instead of today. The organizers also offer one-day tickets and discounts for children and juniors.

After the period of restrictions, according to the organizers, the festival should run as they originally wanted. “Some who were not originally on the program are also heading to Prague. New Grammy winner Mark Haynes from Snarky Puppy will perform with James Harries. The audience will be surprised by the performance of the Eve string quartet. I can't reveal it yet, but one band decided to christen their album on Friday in the middle audience. As the first festival, we will offer the visitors of Metronome Prague a well-prepared escape game,” said Gaydečka.

The organizers also invite to 500 meters of bars and food stalls, payment will be exclusively cashless, but via payment cards, not mandatory of acquired chips. They also appeal to people to come to the festival by public transport. “Trams will be reinforced throughout the day, night services will have double the capacity. Reserve cars will then be ready in case of need in the depot near the Exhibition Center,” they said today.
