Prague – In the second half of last year, Radiožurnál continued to be the most listened to radio station in the Czech Republic with 861,000 listeners a day, which was an increase of 26,000 people compared to the previous period, i.e. the second and third quarters. In second place was Impulse, with a drop of 21,000 to 697,000 listeners, and Europa 2 was third, with an increase of 10,000 to 649,000 listeners. They are followed by Blaník, Frekvense 1 and CRo Dvojka. This follows from the results of the current Radioprojekt listenership measurement.

Among the supra-regional stations, radio station Kiss did best with 435,000 listeners, which is a decrease of 3,000 people. The second Hitrádio improved by 19,000 people to 424,000 listeners, and the third Country radio was listened to by 285,000 people daily, i.e. by 3,000 listeners less. It is followed by Beat.
Of the commercial networks, Media Club has the largest share with 2.537 million listeners, the second is Radiohouse with 1.661 million and the third is Czech Radio with 1.618 million listeners per day.
Net investments in radio advertisements in the last quarter of last year represented CZK 530 million, i.e. the same as in the same period in the pre-Covid year 2019. Annual investments last year increased by 1.3 percent compared to 2019 to a record 1.628 billion crowns. Investments grew the most in the segment of food retail, e-shops and finance. They fell in the areas of cars, construction and real estate.
83.3 percent of the population listened to the radio every week, 54.4 percent of people listened to the radio daily, which is 0.7 percentage points more than in the previous period . On average, Czechs listened to two stations a week and 1.4 stations a day. Average daily listening time fell by four minutes to 264 minutes.
