The Netherlands plans to bring other countries to the process against Russia in the European court of human rights (ECHR) in the case of the downed passenger jet flight MH17, said Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Vsevolod Chentsov, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
In particular, the judicial process can be brought in the state whose citizens died in the crash.
“The Dutch side is considering joining other States to this process. In particular, States members of the SSG and countries whose nationals perished in the shooting down of the plane,” Chentsov said.
According to him, the expediency of Ukraine’s accession to the initiated case will be taken into account, in particular, consideration of the case “Ukraine vs Russia” in the International court of justice and previously initiated by Ukraine interstate lawsuit against Russia at the ECHR, with the involvement of the bodies that lead these cases are, respectively, the foreign Ministry and the justice Ministry.
