Chomutov – Train operation between Chomutov and Most was resumed on one track. Trains may be delayed by five to 15 minutes. Czech Railways announced this on their website. The Railway Administration (SŽ) is working on the full restoration of operations. It is not yet clear when the second track will also be put into operation. The operation was stopped by a fault in the traction line.

According to SŽ spokesman Dušan Gavenda, the traction line is about 250 meters long. The estimated damage to the line is about 100,000 crowns, to the locomotive about a million crowns. The date for the restoration of full service will be continuously updated as the work progresses.
Traffic has been restricted since approximately 2:30. Trains were replaced by bus services from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
