On July 6, 2021, Holík and Vodák were with two underage girls at the hostel in Lanškroun in Orlickoustek. They gave them so-called candies containing meth. At night, the boatman left with one girl to get cigarettes, the other got sick. Holík gave her about three doses of the drug mixed in water, after which the seventeen-year-old woman died after a few tens of minutes due to respiratory and circulatory failure.

According to prosecutor Jan Vodička, the 29-year-old Holík said during the police interrogation that he believed that another dose of meth would clear the girl up. He was an experienced drug user. “I'm sorry, I'm terribly sorry,” Holík said in his final statement.

The chairman of the court, Jan Šlosar, said that even though the girl died as a result of his actions and he knowingly gave her meth, it was not established that would have wanted to kill her on purpose. “On the other hand, he was such an experienced user of meth that in a situation where the girl was showing significant health problems in the form of convulsions and temperature, he must have known that administering another significant dose of meth could not only lead to a significant deterioration of her health, but even collapse. ” said Šlosar. He assessed as a mitigating circumstance the fact that he agreed to enter into a plea agreement, otherwise he would probably have faced a higher sentence.

Holík obtained the drug from Vodák, who had been producing it at home for a long time. Both men have already been punished and are currently in prison for other crimes.
