Příbram – The police charged two men and one woman with distributing drugs to the Příbram prison and obstructing the execution of an official decision. One of the men is also suspected of extortion. They face up to five years in prison, Příbram prison spokesman Vladimír Rampas and Central Bohemian police spokeswoman Vlasta Suchánková informed ČTK.

According to the police, the drug distribution was apparently organized by a twenty-eight-year-old convict who gave instructions to his thirty-year-old girlfriend through authorized and unauthorized phone calls. “She obtained the drugs through other persons from Brno and subsequently, again according to the instructions of her convicted friend, hid these psychoactive substances in a prepared postal package, which then went to the Příbram prison,” said Suchánková.

The accused listed as addressees convicted. She got their names precisely from her boyfriend, who, according to the police, used his physical superiority behind the prison walls and in some cases forcibly forced fellow inmates to have shipments containing meth sent in their names. The shipments were then handed over to him. The third accused is a forty-one-year-old man, a former convict, who, according to crime experts, cooperated in the distribution of drugs.
