The Russian Embassy in Great Britain appealed to the police after beating up a Russian fan at the 1/8 finals of the European Football Championship between the national teams of Ukraine and Sweden. This is reported by RBC.
The department reacted to the incident, saying that the victim himself did not apply to law enforcement agencies. It is noted that neither representatives of Scotland nor Russia have information about his personality.
Earlier on June 30, the Baza Telegram channel showed footage showing an attack on a fan wearing a Russian national team’s jersey. Later it became known that the man was born in Russia, but then moved to Scotland. He arrived at the stadium in Glasgow to cheer for the Ukrainian national team. The fan noted that the Russians support the Ukrainians and he has no one to fear in the stands.
The Ukrainian national team defeated Sweden 2: 1 in extra time. In the quarterfinals of the tournament, she will have a match against the team of England.
