A Russian woman who has visited Cyprus complained about the “luxurious but boring” beaches and called an alternative to a relaxed vacation. The girl’s review was published by the portal “The subtleties of tourism”…
According to her, on the third vacation, she decided to diversify the trip and went on a trip to local villages.
First of all, she visited the village of winemakers Omodos, located on the slope of the Troodos mountains, and called it a very colorful place. “Narrow streets, taverns and flower pots. There is even a small museum of everyday life and the history of wine production, ”she said.
Another settlement included in the route is the village of Lefkara, famous for lace and silverware. At the same time, the girl noted that due to the large number of tourists, the sellers were intrusive, and the food in the taverns was too expensive.
In addition, the traveler visited the village of Kato Platres, which is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. There she recommended visiting a chocolate workshop, a rope park and a trout farm, as well as taking a ride in the surroundings with “unreal” nature.
Earlier in September in Cyprus, a Russian tourist climbed into an ancient sarcophagus for a spectacular photo and got stuck. The woman climbed into the royal tomb of the Kato Paphos archaeological park, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The first structures of the necropolis date back to the second century BC.
