London/Kyiv – Representatives of the British defense industry hold talks in Kyiv about the possibilities of manufacturing British weapons and military equipment directly in Ukraine. This was reported by The Telegraph server, according to which it would be a significant strengthening of relations between Britain and Ukraine, which has been resisting Russian attacks for almost a year.

The aim of the negotiations is an agreement to create joint ventures that would produce British weapons under license. The project would have to be consecrated by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Moscow has repeatedly warned that further arms deliveries to Ukraine or support for production there will lead to an escalation of the conflict.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited London this week, which became only his second foreign destination since the beginning of the war. Britain is one of the most important supporters of Kiev, trains Ukrainian soldiers and this week promised, for example, the supply of tanks.
