Kyiv – Russia carried out 17 airstrikes on Zaporizhia overnight, according to acting mayor Anatoly Kurtev, this is the biggest attack on the city since the beginning of the invasion. “In one hour, 17 enemy airstrikes were recorded in the city, which is the largest number since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,” said the secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council, Kurtěv, saying that the attacks were aimed at energy facilities. “Information about damage and victims is continuously updated,” he added.
About ten explosions rocked Kharkiv in the morning, said Oleh Siněhubov, head of the regional administration. According to him, parts of Ukraine's second largest city are without electricity, heat and water supplies as a result. Rescue services are already working at the sites of the explosions, information on the number of victims and extent of damage is being ascertained, he added.
On Thursday evening, Russia also launched Iranian-made drones into Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities said. Drones were spotted in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. Air defenses worked in several places.
