Henry Cavill's last stand promises to be very spectacular.
Geralt of Rivia questions his “neutrality“, in the trailer for season 3 of The Witcher, which Netflix has just released. The Witcher trained Ciri with the help of Yennefer. The young girl is now hyper-powerful, and is destined to become a Witcher… But can they really stay away from the conflict that threatens the Continent?
Remember that this will be the last season for Henry Cavill, who will then pass the sword to Liam Hemsworth, who will take over the role of Geralt of Rivia from season 4.
“As the Continent's monarchs, mages and monsters outwit each other in their ingenuity to get their hands on Ciri, Geralt protects her, determined to fend off anyone who tries to harm her barely reunited family” announces the synopsis. “In charge of training the girl as a sorceress, Yennefer takes them to the Fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to learn more about Ciri's unknown powers. But far from the expected safety, they find only 'a nest of vipers where betrayals are linked against a backdrop of political corruption and black magic. To get out of it, they will have to risk everything if they don't want to be lost forever.”
Volume 1 of Season 3 of The Witcher, which will contain episodes 1 to 5, will be released on June 29th on Netflix. Afterwards, volume 2, consisting of episodes 6 to 8, will arrive on July 27.
