The suspect, a 35-year-old man from Senneterre, appeared in court by telephone on Thursday on several counts, including obstruction, dangerous driving, flight, theft and receiving, according to information provided by the SQ. /p>

“A second piece of information indicated that the said trailer had been located on Chemin des Pêcheurs, in the Preissac sector. On site, the police noticed that the trailer had overturned on its side and that the ATV and the equipment that were there were no longer there, ”says Sergeant Fournier.
“Around 8:30 p.m., while the police were still at the scene, a suspicious vehicle was seen on the road. When the driver noticed the police, he immediately fled. The police quickly lost sight of it,” she continues.
About 45 minutes later, at around 9:15 p.m., the police located the vehicle, but the driver pulled away. saved again, according to Nancy Fournier's account. “They chased him for a short distance and the vehicle came to a stop, but the driver fled on foot, into the woods,” she said.
The police eventually located the suspect to arrest him. “It turned out that the truck the suspect was driving was towing a trailer with an ATV. Everything was reported stolen. The police also seized several tools found in the stolen vehicle,” said Sergeant Fournier.
