Raúl Jiménez is one of the best Mexican footballers in Europe. Since joining the Wolves , the forward has established himself in English football and has received several accolades from English stars.
Even the Old Continent press placed him in historic clubs like Juventus in Italy or Manchester United in England. Although the forward has already started the season with Wolverhampton , he left the door open for a club change.
“I have three more seasons left. If I stay here at the Wolves, I would be very happy. We know that anything can happen and there could be a change. I'm open to everything, “said the network-breaker in a talk with the Mexican embassy in England , on the occasion of the celebrations of the beginning of the independence of the North American country.

The Mexican national team also indicated that he wants to play the Champions League again . “I already had the fortune to play some games (with Atlético de Madrid and Benfica). It is something incredible and it is in my plans to play again, but first I have to do what I have to do with the Wolves, “he said.
Upon his arrival at the English team, the Aztec striker acknowledged that reaching his current club was not an easy decision to make. However, he assured that he does not regret having taken it.
“It was one of the best decisions I have made . It was difficult because I was with the national team in Denmark and that's where the offer came to me. They told me about the team, about the project. I said 'it's not a very well known team' and I had to investigate. It was an interesting bet and to this day I do not regret having taken, “he explained.

The forward also pointed out that he knew little about England and nothing about the city where his club was located. “I didn't know (where it was). What little he knew of England was London, Newcastle. I knew very little about England and I didn't know anything about Wolverhampton ”, he acknowledged.
He recalled that when he arrived at the Wolves it was a newly promoted team, but in their first season they managed to place themselves in a European competition place. In addition, he noted that his second year was even better.
“ The first season I was there, I managed to be the best Wolves player , chosen by my teammates. I always seek to improve, to continue growing, so I think I did better this season ”, explained the network breaker.

After his achievements, Raúl won the affection of the fans . They have given him the nickname of Mexican Wolf and even the fans composed a song in his honor to celebrate his goals.
“There is something the Wolves want you to know. The best in the world comes from Mexico . Our number nine. Give him the ball and he will score every time. Yes Sir, give the ball to Raúl and he will score ”, reads the emotional tune that they dedicated to their top scorer in history.
Jiménez commented that this show of affection is something nice in his career. “It is very nice to hear that they sing a song for you or that they shout the goals in the stadium,” he said.
The talk was presented by Ambassador Aureny Aguirre and the interview was conducted by Consul Aida Velasco . In addition, there will be more guests in the remainder of the month to celebrate the Mexican national holidays.
