A new attack on the farm of the former director of the Civil Registry, Juan de Dios Fuentes, is the one that his son denounced during the afternoon of this Tuesday.
This time it is an attack on the Centenario farm in the town of Pidima, Ercilla commune.
According to his son, they attacked his lupine and oat crops with chemicals.
This farm is owned by farmer Juan de Dios Fuentes, who has suffered numerous attacks like the one that occurred a week ago, where his vehicle was burned.
This time, the chemical attack that he denounces affected at least 10 hectares of lupine and another two of oats.
Unknown persons would have thrown some kind of chemical, according to the son, because the planting of the place is dying.
For now, the police are verifying the situation to assess the responsibilities.
Lupino is a legume seed that occurs mainly in La Araucanía. Due to its properties, it is a good diet for people with diabetes, celiac disease or with food allergies.
