The neo-German bank opens an alternative to bank transfers to top up their account. Except that it will not be free.
On a N26, it is now possible to top-up your account as if you were making a payment over the internet : that is to say, by using the information of a credit card that you will only need to register on the mobile application of the neo-bank. This is good news for the more than one million French customers who have subscribed to one of the three offers of mobile banking.
Previously, N26 did not carry reloads the current account card, except for the first shipment of money, at the time of our listing. The problem is now resolved, and the number of transactions of a main account to the account N26 are more limited. A way to be able to add money easily and quickly, in the manner of what is proposed for customers in Revolut, who have been in the habit of going through this delivery method rather than the bank transfer.
Bonjour Jonathan, 🙂
La limite de recharge maximale reste de 150 €
La première recharge est gratuite, mais toutes les recharges suivantes sont facturées 3% du montant de la recharge.

However, this good news is accompanied by a less good. Compared to the politics of Revolut, N26 do not offer these top-ups by credit card free of charge. A 3% commission is collected on each charge. Thanks to our colleague and youtubeur Cedric BK, we have also noticed that the reload minimum is $ 20. A recharge by credit card at N26 will cost you a minimum of 60 cents, and will rise to 4.5€ for a refill of 150 €, which is depending on the support of N26, the amount of recharge to the maximum.
Summary of top-ups by credit card at N26 :
- First refill free then 3 % commission on the following
- A Minimum charge of 20 €
- Maximum charge of 150 €

N26 is not the only one in this case
Customers should be more disappointed in the fact that the policy applies to each of the offerings of the neo-bank : ” the costs charged to the power account are the same for all users N26 “, stated the media. This is for users of the free map N26 and the customers of the offers N26 You and N26 Metal, this 3% commission will be therefore still in force. They will all be affected by this commission, although N26 explains to Cedric BK that they were working ” to the resolution of the display of this option “.
For the moment, this gives a nice advantage to clients accounts Revolut. The neo-british bank has not sought to charge his customers a commission similar, at least for the moment. As N26 is not the only one of the institutions have decided to charge for this method of feeding the account. One thinks in particular of the bank Nickel (ex-Account Nickel), which charges 2 % commission. Others, such as My French Bank limit the number of transactions to once per day, and some online banks do not allow this method of feeding, to the image of Boursorama.
