During the first episode of “Quarta Repubblica” on Rete 4 conducted by Nicola Porro, Francesco Pugliese, CEO of Conad commented on his vision of the green pass: “I very much agree with the Green pass: I do not understand why I, who am vaccinated, must have this attention and then have to run the risk of going to a supermarket with the employee who may not be vaccinated. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, I think the right way is to go on unpaid leave ”.
A phrase that quickly aroused the wrath of the no vax and no pass. The rumor of social media no vax was unleashed threatening boycott campaigns of Conad stores. On social media there is no shortage of more moderate stances in light of the scarce adhesions obtained last September 1st when the obligation of the green pass on long-distance trains came into force while the trend of Apulian pro’s opened with customers who promise to choose the sign.
On Twitter there are many messages accompanied by the hashtag #BoicottaCONAD. “There are very good supermarkets that are not against freedom,” writes one user. “Does Conad want to impose the nazipass on its employees? Well, let’s also add his name to the list of activities to boycott and see fail, ”writes another.
Many other users who defend the principle underlying the green pass are diametrically opposed. “I will go shopping at Conad more often knowing that it is a safe place”. And again: “Personally, I will always shop at Conad and I invite all pro vaxes to do the same”.
